A collection of Holiday cards I designed and illustrated from 2019-2022
Every year as a holiday gift for friends I send out these digital postcards. Each with a kind letter sending my best sentiment as well as a Steam Gift code.
Taking a look in reverse-chronological order will show you how these designs have changed and iterated since 2019.

Holiday Card 2022
2022: I always have associated the holidays with tradition. This holiday card design harkens back to the tradition of not only holiday imagery but of design history.  blackletter typography, block-printmaking, and signs of hand-lettering inspire the piece. Traditional holiday motifs of a snowy village and intricate details give an extra sense of love and care that a holiday card should have.
2021:  I adapted a "postcard" look into a postmodern Christmas. Trying to capture the feel of a 1960's holiday guide through the typography and illustrations. Unlike the traditional feel of 2022's design, I wanted the look to be more intentional, to provide a new sense of flair tied so closely to Tinseltown and paper dolls.
2020: I illustrated the card to look hand-delivered. Marked and stamped with various postage markings as if the letter had been sent in-person. With the state of the world feeling isolated and separated due to COVID I wanted it to be livelier and more "hand-made" than the previous year's card.
2019: I illustrated a wood-panel cabin amidst a snowy background. I wanted to capture the feel of a classic lithograph, by keeping linework consistent and maintaining a monotone (B&W) color scheme. The darker color scheme mirrors a somber but peaceful tone I wanted to convey in parallel to the struggles many of my peers were facing.
