‘I Am Coffee’ is a laid-back yet educational wordbook I wrote, illustrated & designed which describes the process of coffee production from the perspective of coffee. The main process of how a cup of coffee is actually made has been simplified into a colorful, provocative typographic booklet.
I utilized a warm color scheme to reflect the mood associated with drinking coffee (or to be specific, a coffeehouse). The sensory language was also included to re-enforce the multiple senses encountered when drinking coffee. The use of first & second person indicators strengthens the idea that the coffee itself is narrating to the reader to add a more conversational tone.
